SCALAMATA EXHIBITION SPACE
Brief description of the exhibition space:
With it’s opening in 2007, ScalaMata became a dynamic and well established exhibition space . Hosting art and cultural events on an annual schedule. We are cooperating with Italian and international curators, various cultural institutions, art and architecture academies and art galleries.
ScalaMata hosted several collateral events of the Venice Biennale, and some well publicized international art exhibitions.
ScalaMata is located in the heart of Venice in the prestigious Old Jewish Ghetto between Piazzale Roma and the Rialto bridge. It is easily accessible and at a convenient distance from the train station.
Due to ScalaMata’s location, the works of art are exposed to a large international audience, many of which are art buyers and collectors. During the art and architecture biennale the area attracts many journalists, museum directors and curators.
ScalaMata does not accept unsolicited submissions or job applications.
