SCALAMATA EXHIBITION SPACE
THE OLD GHETTO OF VENICE
With it’s opening in 2007, ScalaMata became a dynamic and well established exhibition space with regular art exhibitions. Hosting included annual schedule of music, performances and visual art events. We have cooperated with Italian and international curators, various cultural institutions, art and architecture schools and art galleries.
ScalaMata hosted several collateral events of the Venice Biennale, and some well publicized international art exhibitions.
In 2017 we re-launch the ScalaMata exhibition space towards the Venice art biennale.
ScalaMata is situated in the heart of Venice in the prestigious Old Jewish Ghetto between Piazzale Roma and the Rialto bridge. It is easily accessible and at a convenient distance from the train station.
Venice has about 33 million visitors every year.
Due to ScalaMata’s location, the works of art are exposed to a large international audience, many of them art buyers and collectors from all over the world. During the art and architecture biennale the area attracts many journalists, museum directors and curators.
